Extreme University:Automated Campus and Fabric Workshop Presented by Branden Henner and Chuck Long Date: Wednesday, January 30th : 9:30 am - 3:30 pm Location: TBD Who should attend: Network administrators looking for a simpler way to build and maintain networks with increasing complexity and protocols. Cost: Free Agenda (~ 45 minutes presentation/demo, then 4-5 hours of hands-on lab work): Configure SPBM globally Configure NNI connections to establish the fabric Configure and demonstrate Layer 2 Virtual Service Networks for VLAN extensions without STP and without 802.1Q VLAN trunking Configure and demonstrate IP Shortcut routing Configure and demonstrate Layer 3 Virtual Service Networks for securely segregated routed networks over a common infrastructure Configure and demonstrate SPB Native IP Multicast Configure and demonstrate CFM – Connectivity and Fault Management – Layer 2 Ping, Layer 2 Traceroute tools Integration with Extreme EXOS switching. Students are expected to bring their own laptops for use in the labs. The laptops should be equipped with an Ethernet port, an RS232 serial port (either inbuilt or external USB to DB9 adapters), an RJ45 console port cable, and a terminal emulation program such as PuTTY to perform initial configuration through equipment console ports and testing via Ethernet.  Please register to reserve your spot today!
